How does the system work? |
All browsers are configured
to use the Cloud-Filter proxy service using a PAC file.
We prefer you to use a fixed IP address although it's not absolutely
necessary as all users are authenticated once using your
email address and a password. |

Is the service secure to
use? |
Cloud-Filter sits behind
secure firewalls. Your email address is configured
to allow you access to the Cloud-Filter systems. Your IP
address is also configured on the Proxy Servers (if you
have a fixed IP) so there
is a double layer of protection. This means that only
Cloud-Filter Customers are able to use the service. |

How do I get a customised
"BLOCKED" page? |
As
this is a fully managed service, we will create your
exception page for you. All you need to do is supply us
with your logo and text for the page. |

Can you also provide
protection for Laptops? |
Our service can protect
Desktop PCs, Laptops, Macs, Smartphones and even gaming
devices such as Playstation, Xbox Wii and anything else
that uses the Internet. |

Can you provide me with
usage reports? |
Cloud-Filter does not
supply reports as part of our standard package, however
if you require any reporting then we can define and
schedule any type of usage report required. This is
charged on a per report basis. Please ask for details. |

What happens if a
Cloud-Filter proxy server breaks? |
The Cloud-Filter cloud
service is a fully
redundant system and we guarantee a 99.97% uptime,
however we cannot guarantee your connection to the
Internet. This is the role of your local Internet
Service Provider. |

How can I make changes to
what I want to block? |
Please login to our Client
Portal and complete the URL Category change request
form. |
|
How long does it take for
URL category filter changes to become active? |
We will complete your
change request within your agreed Service Level
Agreement. If you require an urgent filter change please
raise a support request and we will action it straight
away. |

What happens if I need to
access a website that is blocked? |
Please login to our Client
Portal and complete the Website unblock request form. |

What categories can I
block? |
Here's a list of all
categories and
their descriptions. You can block any of these. |

Will my PC really be
protected against malware? |
Yes, we offer complete zero
hour infection protection by dynamic classification of
content which enables detection of hidden iframes, cross
site scripts, phishing attempts, cookie stealing, and
botnet command and control activity. |

What are Search engine
result attacks? |
Complex attack vectors that
use Google search results to distribute malicious
software (malware) to unsuspecting Internet users. Using
this attack vector, users click on links within Google
search results and are routed to sites that attempt to
download malware to their computers. The attack method
also relies on inattentive webmasters who do not update
the software on their sites and often unknowingly
provide the material that appears in the search results. |

Do you offer any browser
security? |
Cloud Filter enables
administrators to safeguard their users against old
browsers and plug-ins with known vulnerabilities. This
is becoming increasingly critical as Advanced Persistent
Threats (APT) target end users through such attack
vectors. |
